    Punjab Community Health Services (PCHS) Edmonton was registered as a Society on July 31, 2019, under the leadership of Baldev Mutta, whose lifelong commitment to serving South Asian communities has inspired initiatives that improve health, well-being, and social inclusion. As a founding member of our Board of Directors, he continues to guide the organization with a vision of creating culturally responsive services that empower individuals, strengthen families, and build healthier communities.<\/p>

    Recognizing the growing needs of Edmonton’s diverse South Asian population, PCHS Edmonton was established to provide accessible programs that reflect the cultural values, languages, and lived experiences of the people we serve. Our organization was created in response to the increasing demand for community-based support in areas such as mental health, addictions, family wellness, youth development, seniors’ well-being, and chronic disease prevention.<\/p>

    At PCHS Edmonton, we believe that meaningful change begins with understanding, respect, and collaboration. By working closely with community members, healthcare professionals, volunteers, and partner organizations, we are building a welcoming environment where individuals and families can access the support, education, and resources they need to thrive.<\/p>

    Edmonton is located within Treaty 6 Territory and within the M\u00e9tis homelands and M\u00e9tis Nation of Alberta Region 4. We acknowledge this land as the traditional territories of many First Nations such as the Nehiyaw (Cree), Denesulin\u00e9 (Dene), Nakota Sioux (Stoney), Anishinaabe (Saulteaux) and Niitsitapi (Blackfoot). We recognize that these lands, both historically and currently, have been the home and gathering places of many Indigenous people from various Nations. We are grateful for the opportunity to live, work and meet in this territory. We show our respect to the Indigenous Peoples of this land today and all days.
